Swaran Public School, Tutikandi celebrated their Annual Day at the historic Gaeity Theatre. The programme was presided over by Chairman, Visual Arts and Yoga Study, Him Chatterjee. The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by the Principal, Seema Mehta.

At the onset Saraswati Vandana was presented by Sneha, Sonakshi, Lakshmi, Manan and Ayushi. This was followed by the ramp walk by tiny tots — Mahira, Mishti, Gurpreet and Yashwant from Pre Nursery. Beautiful rhymes were then recited by Riddhima, Mannat, Anuj and Harshit of Class Nursery. Students of KG – Hiren, Anushka, Shreyash, Satvik, Vaishnavi bedazzled all with their dance performance on Siya Thriller. A couples’ dance on Shakira’s LaLa was presented by the students of Class I – Niharika, Naitik, Shivani, Sachin, Priyanka, Kritika, Khanil, Arya, Kartik and Ayush.

Swaran Public SchoolA short skit on environment and the need to preserve our natural surroundings was put up by Sarika, Bhumika, Harsh, Yash, Arushi and Saksham. Students of Classes III and IV rocked the floor with their moves on Hamma Hamma. The dance was performed by Sanskriti, Nancy, Aarohi, Daksh, Ishant and Neeraj. Jiya, Angel, Priyanka and Srishti of Class V gave a mesmerising Kathak performance.

Himachali Nati is a sure crowd puller. The local dance performed by Danish, Priya, Dolly and Prashant of Class VI was applauded by all. Woman empowerment is India’s rising new aim and Poornima, Vanshika, Avrohi and Divya conveyed the same through a powerful dance performance. A well choreographed item on drugs as a menace and AIDS was presented by Vipanshi, Payal, Tanya, Pankaj, Denim, Sushant, Kavya, Akshit and Lalit. Another dance performance highlighting the slogan ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ was given by Diksha, Suhani, Dimple, Stuti, Anu, Harpreet, Riya and Muskaan. After such sombre programmes Vishal, Simran, Lata, Neha, Saurav, Vishu, Sonia and Harsh lifted spirits with the ever energetic Punjabi Gidda and Bhangra. A semi classical dance on the song Mere Rashke Kavar was put together by Mrijal, Akshita, Medha, Konica and Khushbu.

Swaran Public SchoolThe audience was made aware of the importance of eye donation through a mime performance by Vikas, Aniket, Abhishek and Vivek. The finale was a Himachali rendition by Ramesh, Aniket, Akshay, Vishal, Nitin and Ayush.

Principal Seema Mehta then presented the school annual report and gave away trophies and certificates to outstanding academic achievers of the previous session. (More Videos)
