58 Units of Blood Collected during the Blood Donation Camp organized by Keekli Charitable Trust

Winners of the best blood banner message were – First, Kashish Jasrotia, LCTH; Second place was shared by Aakriti Justa and Hansika Aggarwal, both from LCTH and Third place was awarded to Harshita Channa, Swaran Public School  

Blood Donation Camp, Keekli Charitable TrustA blood donation camp was organized on the Ridge, Shimla, by Keekli Charitable Trust – Little Feet, Big Stride! Based on the theme, “Every Blood Donor Is A Life Saver”, S.P., C.I.D. Sandeep Bhardwaj graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the camp. Sandeep appreciated the work of social upliftment done by the Keekli Charitable Trust, saying that the team was doing a commendable job and appreciated the efforts undertaken to educate the students as well about this noble cause. During this one-day blood donation camp, tourists, who came to Shimla, including locally conscious blood donors, showed keen interest and donated blood while ensuring their participation in this Mahadan.

Blood Donation Camp, Keekli Charitable TrustA team of doctors from IGMC, headed by Dr Kanchan, gave their services in the blood donation camp that started at 10 a.m., in the morning. School children of the city encouraged common people by creating awareness and inspired everyone to donate blood with their slogans and banners. Children from classes 9th to 12th of various schools including Swaran Public School, Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Chalet Day, GSSS Phagli, JCB Khalini and North Oak Public School as well as Shimla Nursing College, participated in this drive.

Blood Donation Camp, Keekli Charitable TrustKeekli Trust provided a small token of encouragement to the students by awarding them the Community Service Certificates, while children were awarded with a souvenir who were judged best in banners and slogans, reflecting the importance of blood donation. IGMC doctors were so impressed by children’s creative and the amazing banners and posters that they had made, the team decided to showcase the same at their Blood Bank, and would use them in their other campaigns as well to create awareness. Keekli Charitable Trust President, Vandana Bhagra, took the oath of trust and justice for the betterment of the society through the Trust and Magazine. During this time, Keekli Charitable Trust’s Vice President Namita Lal, Secretary Ritanjali Hastir, Treasurer Tarandeep Kaur, Trustee Isha Kumara, Trustee Mamta Rakra and Trustee Mamta Saini along with Advisory Member Major (Dr.) Ritu Kalra were especially present.
