A student’s life is mostly burdened with mundane routines – school, homework, tuitions, tests and more studies – but then there are days when life suddenly becomes full of happiness and merriment. School Carnivals are one such occasion when children freely enjoy the day to the fullest. Thrilling and exciting games, delectable edibles, music – you name it and they have it. Auckland House Girls School invited one and all to their annual carnival held today in the school campus. The event was declared open by Prabha Chawla ex- Auckyite and President of Auckland House Alumni Association, who was warmly greeted by school’s Director Principal Sunita John and Michael A. John, Principal Auckland House School for Boys.

The morning began on quite an eventful note as kids and parents queued up at their favourite stalls, whether it was for games, food or purchasing few craft items. There was total excitement and enthusiasm as the morning progressed to see a full house in the huge grounds where the Carnival was held as the staff members and students worked in unison to manage various stalls. There were thirty six stalls offering everything from mouth watering eatables to handicrafts and a plethora of games stalls. The long queues and patiently waiting for turns at a few stalls showcased the fervour of the kids to get what they wanted the most.

Ex-Auckyites, parents and students from other schools thronged the school ground in large numbers and thoroughly enjoyed the festive occasion. All in all the Carnival turned out to be a grand success.
