It is very rightly said that, many have eyes but only few have vision and school management, principal and staff of Loreto Convent Tara Hall, proved it right as they organized a fun filled day for the grandparents of students from Class Nursery to Second. It is for the first time in the history any school in city that a special programme was dedicated especially to grandparents other than in kindergarten.

Since morning the campus was filled with an amazing positive vibes from young and old as each one was excited to exchange their energies. Teachers and little angels welcomed them all with cute handmade welcome badges. The event started with a traditional dance by students of Class I.

Spirit of patriotism was brought to life as the little ones sang a song – “I Salute My Flag” which was followed by a small play depicting “Seven Ages of a Man” based on Shakespeare’s play “As You Like It”. Children beautifully staged the famous scene  where the jaded, cynical, and melancholy Jaques outlines what he sees as the seven ages of man, opening with these famous lines: All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; the “Seven Ages of Man” as described by him are 1) Infant, 2) Schoolboy, 3) Lover, 4) Soldier, 5) Judge, 6) Old man and 7) Very old man in his second childhood.

Children performed a wonderful NatTi and won hearts of the grandparent by singing “nani tere morni ko mor“. The day was filled with complete cuteness and emotions as grandparents were overwhelmed by being given an opportunity to be part of their grandchild’s day and celebration. They were excited to see the presentation based on the activity where they were shown how a day is spent in a school and what all activities their little ones perform that makes them grow bigger and wiser with each passing day.

A special “Guess Who” game was also played to make the environment light and fun filled where grandparents were asked to guess different film songs and actors and so on. The winners were awarded with gifts. The day ended on a happy note as grandparents shared their experiences and expressed their love for the little ones.
