1459 – राव जोधा ने जोधपुर की स्थापना की।

1666 – नौ सितम्बर 1665 को हुई पुरंधर संधि के अनुसार औरंगजेब के समक्ष पेश होने के लिए शिवाजी आगरा पहुंचे।
1797 – फ्रांस के नेपोलियन प्रथम ने वेनिस पर विजय प्राप्त की।

1835 – चार्ल्स डार्विन ने उत्तरी चिली में तांबे की खानों का दौरा किया।

1847 – विलियम क्लेटन ने ओडोमीटर का आविष्कार किया।

1890 – ब्रिस्टल में पहले आधिकारिक क्रिकेट काउंटी चैम्पियनशिप मैच का शुभारंभ।

1902 – पेंसिल्वेनिया में एन्थ्रेसाइट कोयला के एक लाख 40 हजार श्रमिकों ने हड़ताल की।

1908 – जॉर्ज बर्नार्ड शॉ के नाटक ‘गेटिंग मैरिड’ का लंदन में प्रीमियर हुआ।

1915 – क्रांतिकारी रासबिहारी बोस ने जापानी नौका सानुकी मारू पर सवार होकर भारत छोड़ा।

1925 – उजबेकिस्तान और किर्गिजिस्तान स्वायत्त सोवियत गणराज्य बने।

1926 – हवाई पोत नोर्गे उत्तरी ध्रुव पर उड़ान भरने वाला पहला पोत बना।

1942 – आश्विट्ज में 1500 यहूदियों को गैस चेंबर में मारा गया।

1949 – विजयलक्ष्मी पंडित स्‍वतंत्र भारत की पहली विदेशी महिला राजदूत बनी।

1954 – तमिलनाडु के 13वें मुख्यमंत्री के. पलानीस्वामी का जन्म।

1965 – इजरायल और पश्चिम जर्मनी ने राजनयिक संबंध शुरु करने के लिए पत्रों का आदान प्रदान किया।

1989 – भारतीय महिला क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी शिखा पांडे का जन्म हुआ।

1997 – रूस और चेचन्या ने 400 वर्षों के संघर्ष के बाद शांति समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये।

2007 – पाकिस्तान के मुख्य न्यायाधीश इफ्तिखार मोहम्मद चौधरी की कराची यात्रा के दौरान भड़के दंगों में 50 लोगों की मौत, 100 से अधिक घायल।

2008 – चीन के सिचुआन में भूकंप से 69 हजार से अधिक लोगों की मौत हुई।

2015 – नेपाल में आये भूकंप में 218 लोग मारे गए और 3500 से ज्यादा घायल हुए।

2017 – दुनिया भर में 400 हजार से अधिक कंप्यूटरों पर एक रैनसमवेयर ने हमला किया।
