Krishna Janmashtami also known as krishnashtami, Saatam Aatham, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti, Sree Jayanti is celebrated on the eighth day of savanna month. Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Janmashtmi festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the tiny tots of kindergarten section of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Mohali. Children came dressed in as Krishna and Radha and other colourful outfits.They made and wore peacock feather head gears and decorated matkas and flutes. The pre-primary was decorated colourfully with Jhankis depicting the birth place of lord Krishna and Krishna jhoola.

The tiny tots of kindergarten presented a beautiful dance on the song ‘Sham Bulaye Radha Mahi Aaye.’ The audience too enjoyed the show. Later they were given prasad, this festival taught them to be friendly and also the value of sharing.

It was a memorable day for one and all. Poonam Sharma, School Principal thanked the teachers, students and helpers who worked hard to present this show.
